The experimental semi-acoustic wing of guitar-based vocal harmony and instrumental trio, Bright Spark
UnSparkPlugged is the writing, preview and demo wing of the band Bright Spark. We have lots of new songs at various stages of development, and they appear here designated as follows: "Skim" means just a flavour of the song, not necessarily complete or coherent or in the right order. "Outline" is similar but should give the structure too. "Preview" is a bit more complete, often with a bass, harmonies and extra guitar tracks. "Demo" is pretty much how the finished version will sound, often recorded by the full band with drums etc., but needs proper mixing and mastering. "Current" is mixed but needs further mastering, etc. "Final" well, are they ever final? but usually this is the released CD version and is ready for the Bright Spark page.

Story behind the song
One of a large batch of John's songs recorded quite casually in the summer of 2007. Bright Spark will probably never play this as Pete doesn't like it, but it was just a bit of fun really and even at the time we didn't take it too seriously.
Lyrics
Bring the House Down Well my girlfriend called to tell me that she's leaving me today She made it very clear she never loved me anyway You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can bring the house down over me Well my boss wrote and told me, said he doesn't want me back It doesn't go too well for me, he's giving me the sack You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can bring the house down over me A policeman pulled me over "Do you think you're Stirling Moss?" He took away my keys and now my licence has been lost You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can bring the house down over me Well I woke up in the night it was a scary nightmare New Labour voted in, four more years of Tony Blair! You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can pull the curtains down over me { Instrumental } "Rock it!" "uh-huh-huh" etc My mama told me "Son, you know you never pay your way, I'm telling you right now you can pack your bags today You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can bring the house down over me I gave my monkey some bananas and he scoffed the whole damn lot He's got more brains than Gordon Brown and he looks like John Prescott! You can bring the house down Yes, you can burn the house down You can bring the house down over me You can bring the house down yeah Yes, you can burn the house down mama You can bring the house down over me (chuckles) "...another law-suit!"
