My daughter was born with spina bifida and can't walk on her own without assistance. I often have a recurring dream in which she can run and play like everyone else. When I wake, I'm ecstatic, but quickly come down to Earth when reality sets in.

I'm more of a songwriter than a performer...it's the creative writing process I love. This is a collection of basement song demos I've assembled over the past few years. Most are pretty simple & straightforward, usually a couple of acoustic guitar tracks and vocal. I'll be adding songs as time allows. They tend to be family or nature-oriented, and focus on parenting, family life and related foibles. Hope you're into it. Also, I do commercial voice overs. If you're in need of a smooth baritone voice with distinctive tone and balance, I'd be yer guy. ;-) You can find me online at VoicesOnCall.com & Voice123.com. I'm also a freelance advertising/marketing copywriter, broadcast producer and strategist. Stop by my www.timperrycreative.com if you're so inclined! and Audio Production for Any Size Project

Lyrics
In My Dreams You Run Timothy A. Perry © 2002 Verse 1: The day that you were born, you didn’t hear me cry. My tears were mixed with equal parts, agony and joy. Was this God at work, Or maybe mother nature’s quirk, That laid this rocky path for you to try? Chorus: In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run. In my dreams you’re free to jump and play beneath the sun. Everyday I see you struggle till the day is done. But In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run. Verse 2: Crutches for the house, walker for the classroom hall. Wheelchair for the other times you can’t afford to fall. Braces for your shaky thighs, Kisses for your lonely sighs. A father’s love to help you through it all. Chorus: In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run. In my dreams you’re free to jump and play beneath the sun. Everyday I see you struggle till the day is done. But In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run. Verse 3: I recall the day, when I first heard you sing. Notes so pure and simple overshadowed everything. In that moment carved in time, Childhood tune and easy rhyme You traded in your walker for some wings. Bridge: I’ve come to know that solace follows on the heels of grief. We are all much stronger than we ever dare believe. Chorus: In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run. In my dreams you’re free to jump and play beneath the sun. Everyday I see you struggle till the day is done. But In my dreams you dance. In my dreams you run.
