I wanted to record A cover song Rick Nelson made Popular in 1958. It was a learning experience for me trying to get close to the original harmonies by the Jordanaires. I produced all the parts one Saturday afternoon. It was fun.

Story behind the song
I've always liked this song so I gave it my best shot. I use to sing this song a lot back in the days. There was one girl that would have me sing it to her all the time. When I moved on she took a razor to one of my favorite coats. I had left it at her place. I told my mother I can't believe she did that, I really liked that coat . She said; "Just be glad you weren't in it."
Lyrics
There's a place where lovers go
To cry their troubles away
And they call it 'Lonesome Town'
Where the broken hearts stay
You can buy a dream or two
To last you all through the years
And the only price you pay
Is a heart full of tears
Goin' down to Lonesome Town
Where the broken hearts stay
Goin' down to Lonesome Town
To cry my troubles away
In the town of broken dreams
The streets are filled with regret
Maybe down in Lonesome Town
I can learn to forget
Maybe down in Lonesome Town
I can learn to forget
Lonesome Town
