A scintillating nimbus.
What is the point of 'The Peppermoths'? Who knows? In the ravages of time probably nowt, but to it's members, an outlet, a voice in which to attempt to counteract- in some minute way- the doctrine that Socialism, as a valid political and economic theory is impotent- for starters, by educating people that Socialists do not want to prevent people from making money, but expect those who do, to contribute to the Society that helps them earn that money, or to try and ensure that all schools must be of mixed Religions/race/sex, integration from a young age will make the world a happier, safer place, or just to raise a smile. Things have changed since the band formed. The bubble has burst, but people seem to be in denial, acting as if nothing has happened. There is not enough being done to right the inequalities created over the previous three decades (now four decades)- the haves are still getting richer at the expense of the have nots. Story behind the song
My aunt had her child taken away from her for adoption when she became pregnant at sixteen.
Lyrics
given away like the jumble it was four oclock in the morning and she was on her third coffee the streetlight forming a shroud like some Joan of Arc but melodrama s not her cup of tea she wore a band of gold and a barbed wire crown and sat the cat upon her knee who stole the cream dear she d found a four leaf clover pressed in a book does that still qualify for luck like a second hand god or a horoscope it meant nothing but she d take a look she placed it deep in her purse where it sat more like a curse reminding her with every look of the page it came from and she would search the world every where for you if only she could search this world every where for you and she has searched her mind every where for you it s said that time heals all even after a fall and since been unable to stand tall the routine toast for the kids drops off her dustbin lids it s like a game with a bat but no ball she makes a move to the phone knowing the risks to her home if she dares to make that call is the time now and she would search the world every where for you if only she could search this world every where for you cos she has searched her mind every where for you it was the way it was then like giving away some old clothes to the jumble she cant believe how easy it was but she was given no choice and it gets harder and harder the risk of contact why was it kept a secret bad advice why was it kept a secret bad advice why was it kept a secret bad advice written played and recorded by Chris Whitty aka 3gGene/Fezz
